On July 5, 2020, just two and a half months after the second dream involving my dear friends, they visited again while I slept. Many unusual, confusing events occur.

“Stopping by the Russellville, Ky City Clerk’s office, I ask if I may use their phone. For some reason, I desperately need to call my husband. Outside the office, I see my dear friend, a preacher, and his young brother. People crowd into the small parking area.

Nearby, his wife stood, wearing her Miss Teen America gown, which she won in 1973 and Nixon was president. Evidently, a parade is soon to begin. She looks beautiful. The preacher prepares to auction a variety of items. I noticed several rare antiques and an old, vintage car. As the crowd begins to bid, the noise increases.

Entering the courthouse, my good friend, the circuit judge, and his secretary walk into the courtroom. Stopping at the door, he hugs me and we chat briefly before his cases begin.

My friend, the preacher, walks and talks to me while I ride in a ridiculously- looking apparatus; a car with no sides, no steering, yet, appears to have very comfortable seats and I am reclining, wearing blue jeans and pink high heels. I tell him a story that happened to me in ‘73 while I walked up the stairs of Adairville High. Heading to class, a younger boy behind me, pinches my derriere! Quickly reacting, I admonish his behavior and strongly warn him to never do that to any one again. I guess the purpose of this particular memory hinged on my ability to stand up for myself. Am I reminding myself that I am a strong child of the most High God?

Visiting with my grandmother, who lives in nearby Adairville, KY, I noticed the home houses prisoners, due to the overflow from the Russellville jail. I cannot even fathom what is taking place for everything seems so surreal. I know my grandmother has been dead for a very long time.

Immediately, I phone my cousin/brother, who would know more about this turn of events, and I hear his mother in the background (I know she is dead, too, but I love hearing her voice). They had just returned home from the beach and my aunt was yelling, “Tell her it was too hot”.

Time has come for me to return to dad’s and get my car. I recognize a realtor’s office that has a successful sales person who lives in Adairville and that is exactly the place I need to be.”

The symbolism:

When researching the meaning of each person’s name, many held such wonderful, poignant interpretations – “joy, pearl, triumphant, laurel” and “she will be praised”. Pearls represent “purity; wisdom”. In Matthew 13:45-46, we read, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, Who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.” Being triumphant emphasizes “having achieved a great victory; feeling very happy because of a particular achievement.” And I am reminded of the triumphant entry of Jesus, “arriving in Jerusalem to celebrate Passover, riding on a donkey”. The laurel is a “type of wreath, circular, made of leaves and branches and symbolizes victory.” For us,followers of Christ, the laurel can “symbolize the resurrection of Christ and the triumph (there’s that word again), of humanity. In some cultures, laurel branches are substituted with palm leaves to remember the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.” Lastly, the perpetrator in this dream has a name which means “strength”. In this dream, I am reminded of how strong I truly am when faced with evil and I give thanks to Almighty God.

The preacher and friend are dissected in REVELATION, posted earlier. I still could not fathom any problem or issue with their appearance. Yet, I had not dreamed of any person or persons this often and in such close proximity of time.

To dream of an office building denotes “getting things accomplished; productivity”. Each morning I continue writing my dreams and attempt to glean what God has for me.

A phone call represents “ communication; either you feel you are not being listened to -or you are not listening to others.” If the call is in a public place, this could mean “you have information that more people should or will know about.” Now, my mind reels with questions. What do I have for my dear friends?

A parking lot symbolizes “a transition in your career as you explore new ways of moving forward.” With much study and prayer, I proceed.

Seeing my dear friend in her lovely gown, I researched the meaning and seemingly, thisdream represents a “significant event or milestone in your life; signifies leaving something behind and embracing something new.” What should I embrace? What stands before me?

One connection becomes clear. In 1973, while they crowned her Miss Teen America, a junior boy accosted me! “Anger, disbelief, and fury” overtook me at that moment and I cannot help but wonder if these are feelings I need for real waking time, in 2020?

When dreaming of an antique auction, one should “define the good and beneficial things you believe you receive in your personal relationship.” How truly blessed I am. A car auction implies that “you are trying to move forward in life, but things are stopping you; you need to move forward for this represents an exciting time, emphasizing movement.” So much of our day-to-day life has been halted and this slow-motion effect drips into my subconscious I am sure.

Dreaming of a parade symbolizes “a time in which a person feels overwhelmed by the different activities in life; a signal that you need to walk away from a couple of projects in order to attain rest.” However, time seems of such importance at this point. “You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away, “ James 4:14.

Surprisingly, a crowd signifies “feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated.” Two symbols in my dream emphasize “being overwhelmed”. But I turn to God’s Word. “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

(Matthew 11:28-29.)

A courtroom indicates “ you are trying to justify something to yourself; new opportunities and challenges are ahead.” The symbol represents “you overcoming the things that block your path forward.” Studying further, tears filled my eyes as I read, “you have the ability to forgive others’ mistakes.” Matthew 6:14 teaches, “If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you.”

When dreaming of a lawyer, the symbol brings such significance, for it represents “Jesus Christ, our Savior, our mediator”.

Hugging someone in a dream, denotes “a need for comfort and support in your waking life.” The symbolism for comfort rings true as we remain isolated and banned to our homes. But, the lawyer’s appearance definitely reflected the love of Jesus comforting me during this horrible time.

Researching the significance of the crazy contraption/like car seemed futile, until I looked through a spiritual reference. A Fred Flintstone car, which is as close to what I dreamed, meant “human effort” and I recollect Paull’s words,“Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it to safeguard your faith…For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort…( Philippians 3:2-4.)

Jeans, in fashion, are associated with casual wear. In dreams, the symbol suggests “you feel relaxed and at ease; you are comfortable in your own skin and are not afraid to express yourself.” My family would agree to that statement. Dreaming of shoes is about “moving from the wrong spiritual path to the right one; you have the opportunity to make the choice right now.” My dreams guide me closer and closer to God’s purpose for me. Further research reveals one should “reconsider everything you believe in and correct things that are not quite right. You are going to live a long and peaceful life if you defocus from material gain and try moving towards fulfilling yourself spiritually.” May my Father in heaven show me the way.

High heels symbolize “feelings of confidence, power, and being assertive.”

The pink color of the heels means “the childlike, love of God”. What beautiful words!

A grandmother “gave you cuddles when you were small”, and “hugs when things were good and hugs when things were bad.” This symbol represents “someone who did what they had to do to make it work.” Dreaming of your grandmother refers to “the time when things work out and when they don’t; when life gets tough and when life throws all sorts of things at you.” Grandmothers are supposed to be there; the stable force.

When you dream of your grandmother, you need to “look after your house, your career, your children and all that is important to you.” If your grandmother is deceased in real life, this is also a comforting dream.

To dream of prisoners reflects “feelings of being confined, lacking control in some aspect of your waking life; you could be facing limiting beliefs that prevent you from moving forward.” That last bit of information struck a chord within me since all I had once believed, has been rattled.

Dreaming of family reminds one “that it is important in life to overcome obstacles which will enable you to become better at what you achieve.”

Dreaming of an aunt who has passed away, demonstrates “the roadblocks you are encountering in life” and “they will be lifted.”

A beach represents “a new mindset; self-development” and the realization that “things will always be moving.” Right now, the world’s movement, and any type of normalcy, hangs in the shadows.

When researching someone tells you it is “hot” could “symbolize a feeling of intense emotions, pressure, or a situation that is causing you significant stress or discomfort in your waking life.” Again, I must meditate on these words and identify the underlying issues facing me.

Dreaming of a successful realtor denotes “you are on the cusp of a fresh start, like in a career and you are looking for direction in making that leap”.

Dad, as a dream symbol, represents “authority”. You should ask yourself “how you can show authority, your right, your power, and your role in the family. You need to become more independent from your parents and become self-reliant in decision-making.” Such a powerful statement to swallow. I will follow the path Christ has for me, “Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths,” (Psalms 25:4).

MARTY TILLEY GREY

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new! Then He said, Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelations 21:4-5, (NIV)
