A month after my dream in March, 2020, another revelation involving my dear friends, materialized as I snoozed.
“My friends, the preacher and his wife, sit with me at a table and discuss possible vacation dates for a trip to the beach. (In real waking time, our families vacationed in Hilton Head, SC). As I look around, I see an old, large room with mahogany walls and ornate ceilings. We seem to be at the university that we attended many, many moons ago. Their son walks in, since he is enrolled now. As the discussion continues, the preacher brings us back to reality. Due to the virus, we cannot go at this time. Leaving, I walk the hallways and see lovely, ornate antiques decorating the corridors.
My daughter and I attend a medical lecture at the hospital I am working at and I recognize the nurse speaking. Within minutes, we are outside, handouts in hand and ready to go shopping. Hopping in the BMW, we drive towards the mall. “
(The very next morning when I awoke, I received a phone call – my dear friend’s dad had passed away and I knew I must call her ASAP).
The symbolism :
In this dream, the names of the persons involved share deep, spiritual meaning – “grace;
purity, clarity” and “nobility”.
In REVELATION, PART ONE, these same people are with me again. I must try and ascertain why they keep appearing in my dreams. Why now? What is different?
[The preacher’s symbolism remains the same as previously written, and the friends’ significance is the exact meaning as before.]
When dreaming/planning a vacation, your mind may be “urging you to take proactive steps towards your goals and aspirations, reminding you of the excitement that comes with embarking on a new path.” How very interesting that last month when my friends appeared in my dream, a “path” played an important role then. To dream of planning a vacation to the beach, signifies “a strong desire for relaxation, renewal” and “a break from stress in your waking life”.
The beach represents “a place of peace and tranquility where you can escape from daily pressures and recharge your energy.” That sounds most wonderful!
When dreaming of a school, the symbol refers to “a training period; a teaching ministry” and “a teaching anointing”.
Further study reveals that universities in a dream indicate “ you may be feeling you want to do something outside of the norm.” My dream puts into words exactly what I am attempting to do!
Sometimes the school/university symbol occurs when “there are social concerns in your waking life.” So many concerns swirled throughout my mind while everything shut its doors.
The table represents “family exchange” and “to pay attention to the way you handle family life.” Also, the symbol reminds you “to focus on decision-making, for a special task will be given shortly.”
Dreaming of mahogany predicts “an improvement in your living conditions”. That would be a wonderful thing! How blessed we are to read in Deuteronomy 6:11-12, “…well-furnished houses you didn’t buy, come upon wells you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive orchards you didn’t plant. When you take it all in and settle down, pleased and content, make sure you don’t forget how you got there…” My Father, in Heaven, I bow down and thank you for all you are doing. Move your mighty Hand over this nation!
The high, intricately decorated ceiling represents “a desire for freedom, expansion beyond your current limitations.” The high ceiling also signifies “spiritual connection”. And I feel Him within my soul, especially when I sleep.
The color white, of the ceiling symbolizes “ righteousness, holiness” and the brown of the mahogany represents “compassion, humility.” “Humble yourselves, then, under God’s mighty hand, so that He will lift you up in his own good time. Leave all your worries with Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7.
A dream of a prior job denotes “you are trying to move forward but finding it difficult to focus”. Also, your subconscious mind could just “want to feel settled.’
My old job consisted of marketing for a physical rehab hospital. Therefore, upon searching the symbolism for a hospital, I learned it referred to “healing” and “anointing”.
Dreaming of a hospital is about “balance in life”. If you are inside the hospital (and I was), then “you are trying to heal, in life.” This dream symbol reminds one to “take care of yourself.”
Whenever a nurse appears, “there is healing around or the possibility of healing which abounds all around you and strengthens you.” “His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.” Psalms 91:4.
To dream of your daughter represents “pleasant events in this future that will provide you with contentment and happiness”. Anytime I can spend with my daughter provides all of that and more. Since we wanted to go shopping, this symbol suggests “seeking excitement; seeking to make changes.” Just what changes are coming?
Cars, in a dream, are generally attached to our “inner emotions” and can indicate “spiritual progression on both a psychological, as well as, an emotional level.” My heart longs to grow ever closer to you, my Lord!
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
